Nominate someone today!!
You can help us identify these outstanding young professionals by nominating as many as you know and find worthy of this recognition. The qualification requirements are that the individual be actively working in the public accounting or professional tax preparation fields, be an academic in the field, or be employed by a vendor serving the profession; and has not reached their 40th birthday as of August 31, 2011. The nomination period is open from December 1, 2010 and has been extended through June 15, 2011.
As the accounting profession ages and the “old guard” that helped usher technology into public accounting prepares to close out the books on their careers, the profession will soon turn to a new cadre of leaders to steward the continued evolution of technology in the practice.
A downswing in the number of newly minted accountants during the 1980s and 1990s resulted in a nearly generation-wide gap and leaves those in between with the responsibility of mentoring and guiding their fellow practitioners. This comes through demonstrating best practices in their work product as well as through their devotion to client service.
Who are they? What drives them? How are they fostering the growth and continued betterment of the accounting profession? What is it that makes them stand out and above the crowd?
They are your peers. So you tell us!
The “40 Under 40” program seeks to recognize these top young individuals by allowing accountants, tax professionals and others in and related to the profession to nominate those persons that they strongly believe exemplify the very best of their field., You are the ones who have observed them and we have confidence that you will help us identify those who will help shepherd the profession for the decades to come.
